Wonderful Putman Lake is an electric motor only lake. We do have a private beach on this beautiful lake complete with swim platforms and picnic tables. Our beach front includes steps and hand rails to assist folks with mobility challenges. Parental supervision with young children is required as we do not have a lifeguard on duty and as much as we love them cannot keep an eye on your children. Our beaches are closed to the younger folks from dusk to daylight to allow for those lake front romantic evenings with more mature folks, or late-night fishing.
Our trail access is located right inside the campground. About a mile of trails separated from our camping areas retaining the serenity here! Sandpits are included at your own risk - but don't worry because they're surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty else. It's important to be able to access your favorite spots - and our on-site trails hook up to both State & Federal routes as well.
Whether you are a seasoned expert or on your first fishing trip, we have an incredible array of fish. Bass, pike, and salmon. And we're not just talking about the big ones either; you can catch some real beauties right here on our lake. There are 156 lakes and 45 trout streams in lake county alone. We are located less than five minutes from the Pere Marquette river, regarded by some of the top trout, salmon, and steelhead rivers in the country. Monster fish await here! Teach your kids the right way: the yearly family tradition of Salmon fishing!
There's plenty of entertainment right here in our area for your pleasure including ORV/ATV trails, hiking, and swimming. You'll also find quality eating at several local restaurants in Baldwin. If that isn't enough, then head further west and take one look into Lake Michigan. That will make any adventure seem worthwhile.
